Massage

Maria helps with injury recovery, postural issues, muscular tension, pregnancy and sports-related issues, and relaxation, with lymphatic drainage soon to join her skill set.

Maria uses:

• Myofascial Release, a gentle technique for pain relief, increasing range of motion and it works well for altering posture
• sports massage, which is really for treating problems stemming from movement,
• Trigger Point Therapy for releasing the tension in muscle ‘knots’.
• Relaxation Massage.

Maria has attended a lymphatic drainage course in August, which will enable her to assist clients with oedema and swelling in soft tissue injuries.

Maria attends the NZ Massage Association Conferences and workshops to continue her professional development and learn more therapeutic techniques and absorbing the latest research. Maria has a National Diploma of Therapeutic Massage and a Diploma in Massage Therapy.
