Back In Motion Football Perform®

Injuries and poor individual performances can severely impact on a team’s ability to win football games. Measures to address these factors have been hard to organize and difficult to implement in such an important stage of young athletes development.

Physiotherapists can provide expert knowledge of the complex relationship between movement and the human musculoskeletal system. This understanding enables the physiotherapist to prescribe the appropriate corrective exercises to reduce the risk of injury and improve performance.

What is the program about?

Back in Motion Football Perform is a 6 week injury prevention and performance program specifically for football players. This service would consist of movement assessment and analysis followed by individual prescription of specific exercises. The aim is to build a stable base from which the body may produce effective and safe movement patterns. By abolishing faulty movement patterns it reduces repetitive micro-trauma to soft tissue and joint structures which results in ‘wear and tear’ injuries.

Improve base strength to enhance fitness!

Strengthening the body's stabilising muscles also provides an optimal framework for future physical conditioning programs. This is crucial for young developing athletes with limited training experience. Back in Motion is working in conjunction with Creative Conditioning, fitness conditioning specialists, who will focus on enhancing the physical conditioning aspect to provide a comprehensive training program.

Creative Conditioning will provide the testing and physical training to develop power, speed and improving technique essential for excellent performance. Creative Conditioning also excels at functional training and use a variety of motivational techniques to inspire young athletes. Essential information regarding nutrition for optimal sports performance will also be covered by Creative Conditioning.

Back in Motion and Creative Conditioning are thrilled to be working with Football South in the development of young football players to reach their potential.
